State Legislative Reminders
The State Legislative Team continues to work to keep everyone informed regarding issues important to VFN NARFE members and bring attention to the Commonwealth of Virginia proposed legislation that could important to our members. As the administrator of the VFN NARFE PAC, I seek your opinion regarding candidates we should support with our dollars and ensure we have a real voice in our state legislature.

- Separate from the NARFE-PAC!
- It is a mechanism to provide donations to the campaigns that support VFN’s legislative positions. They can be incumbents or challengers.
- Donation proposals from chapters are requested (with supporting statements) and recommendations from the State Legislation Program Chair.
- Must be approved by the VFN Board of Directors.
- Maximum amount to be determined by the board per candidate (no statewide candidates)

VA State PAC Proposed Public Support Request Form
Create a Memo to submit to your Area VP or Chapter President to request a VFN State PAC Contribution to any candidate or legislator who continues to demonstrate building strong relationships with legislators who provide opportunities to share our most pressing concerns.
You can also use the online form to make your request and it will be forwarded to the VFN President.
Important Criteria to consider prior to making a request:Individuals who patron, co-patron, or offer public support for our issues.
- Individuals who hold leadership positions in the General Assembly.
- Individuals who serve on the relevant General Assembly Committees, ex: Finance, Privilege and Elections, Rules, and Health, Welfare and Institutions.
- Individuals who have opposition.
- Individuals must receive a VFN Chapter or a VFN member’s recommendation.
- Individuals who are challenging incumbents who have voted or expressed opposition to our issues.Creat
