Robert Allen is the NARFE Region X (Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia) Vice President and lives in North Carolina.  Mr. Allen has been a NARFE member since 2008 when he joined as an active employee.  He has extensive NARFE experience, rising through the ranks from President, Chapter 2295 in Roxboro, NC, through several NCNARFE Federation positions, including NCNARFE President, to Region X Vice President.  Mr. Allen also served on the NARFE National Bylaws Committee, chairing the committee for four years.

Mr. Allen worked for the Department of Defense and the Department of the Army for 32 years, retiring form the federal government in 2010 as a division chief in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence at the US Army Training and Doctrine Command at Ft. Monroe, VA.

Mr. Allen holds a Batchelor of Science in Spanish from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts in Slavic Linguistics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
