As originally announced to all NARFE members in the Jan/Feb and Mar/Apr 2025 Editions of the NARFE Magazine, the VFN held its Annual Meeting and Conference on April 7, 2025. At the meeting nominations for all elected offices were received from the Nominating Committee and from the floor. During the elections the Second Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer were elected by acclamation, as there was only one candidate nominated for each office. Ultimately, there were two nominees each for the positions of President and First Vice President, requiring an election by ballot per the VFN Bylaws. Balloting for contested elected positions is required to be conducted within sixty (60) days following the Federation Annual Meeting. The ballot has now been announced by the VFN President Boatman and the election is now underway.
This year the VFN will be utilizing a hybrid election process using either a Mail-in Option or an Online Option. Members will be entitled to use ONE of the following methods:
- Printing and completing a traditional paper copy of the ballot from your computer by clicking on this link and mailing it per the instructions on the form.
- Requesting a printed ballot from Jim Little, 11759 Buckley Court, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192-5725, completing it and mailing it per the instructions on the form.
- Utilizing the online services provided by Election Buddy, a trusted partner of the VFN. All members with email addresses will receive an online personal invitation to vote online using Election Buddy. Specific instructions will be provided in the email. I strongly recommend that you use this online option to cast your ballot.
Candidate statements can be found by following this Candidate Statement link.
Bylaws Amendments explanations can also be found by following this Bylaws Amendments link.
Follow the instructions in the separate email you receive from Election Buddy to vote online. No online voting will be allowed on this NARFE website.
Only one vote per member. If duplicate entries are received, only the first one received will be counted based on post marks or computer time dates
This year’s elections and Amendment Bylaws are important for the future of our organization, and we hope you will participate!! Thank you in advance for your participation.
